Software and Chemometric Products

Middleton Research offers two different chemometrics software programs that utilize two separate analysis methods. First and foremost, Middleton Research is a US distributor for UmBio (Sweden), the creator of Evince™ Image, a multivariate image data analysis software. Also offered, are the Evince™ Prediction and Evince™ Online packages depending on your application's needs. Evince fully analyzes hyperspectral image data using visualization and PCA and PLS modeling. Shown here is a reconstructed image, NIR spectra, and principal component map of the analysis of two different types of pharmaceutical tablets mixed together.

Currently, Middleton Research is also collaborating with its US and European partners on unique chemometric software that reduces the calibration sample preparation burden, which is usually the most expensive part of the implementation of infrared and near-infrared process instruments. This software program, called Hyper-Cal™, uses a Science-Based Calibration (SBC) method which simplifies the need for calibration samples. This technique can be particularly useful for classification and general calculations. This software is still in the development stage, but will hopefully be implemented in the near future. Please check with us if interested.
